Manchester, NH – Kye® will present its 2007 line of contemporary women’s golf apparel in Booth #226 at The April 2007 West Palm Beach Golf Expo held at the South Florida Fairgrounds April 10-12, 2007.
The new 2007 collections maintain the on-the-course/off-the-course versatility that is integral to the Kye® brand. Kye® achieves an additional level of sophistication due largely to fabric selection, incorporating the latest themes from the runway into collections that are appropriate on and off of the fairway. The fabrics were carefully sourced, not only for their fashion appeal, but also for their everyday functionality and technical elements. Picking up on one of the latest trends in Europe, two of the new collections, Kauai and Kyoto are designed around fabrics with colorful flowers and abstracts on dark solid bases. Another new collection, Soho, is influenced by the work of designers such as Mary Quant who came out of Soho in the Sixties. Central to this collection is a bold orange and amethyst geometric design printed for Kye® on an Italian Stretch cotton woven and an Italian Stretch "Mini Pique" Breathable and Pull-Resistant Microfiber knit.
Aspen, another new collection, is an elegant combination of earth tones and pewter. The ongoing metallic trend has factored into the brand in past seasons and continues in 2007 through the use of laminated jacquards, silver threading and metallic printing. Aspen features metallic accent printing on an abstract Italian stretch cotton blend as well as a luxurious luminescent pewter stretch silk/cotton blend that is machine washable.
The line encompasses a variety of collections that range from bold to sophisticated, appealing to a variety of tastes. The Kye Classics, which feature the colors black and white, have pieces that coordinate with pieces in the other collections or stand alone. In addition, because of intentional coordination of color ways, buyers are able to create their own collection by mixing and matching pieces from various collections. Although the new collections are very different, they all are very consistent "Kye" in their clean silhouette, designer level European fabric, Swarovski® crystal buttons, and easy-care versatility. All pieces possess a timeliness that is Kye®.
"I am excited to be exhibiting at this show for the first time," said Company Founder and President, Kye Power. "I believe the buyers at this market will be especially appreciative of our attention to detail and the quality of our clean-finished garments."
Added Power, "Although we do not have a typical golf look, we pay close attention to the demands of the game. Designing for golf involves not only style, cut and construction, but also working with the mills to incorporate the latest technology into the fabric. Going beyond the needs for movement, wicking, sun protection, and ease of care, we are now working with one of our top Italian mills on a fabric that promotes "Wellness and Comfort" through the use of Ion technology. Wearers of Kye® appreciate that there is actually a significant amount of innovation in their stylish look."
For all collections, the silhouette is clean and the fabrics are machine washable. The line includes innovative golf features that have been integrated into couture, such as hidden tee holders, the signature ball pocket, and scorecard holder. The line merges fashion and function, incorporating luxuries such as Swarovski® crystal with the latest European performance fabrics made with Tactel,® Lycra,® and Meryl® microfibers and Ion and Plasma technology and domestic high-tech Polartec® fabrics such as Power Shield,® Power Dry,® Power Stretch,® and Thermal Pro® Curly.
