Long-Time Grand Strand Golf Professional to Assume Duties April 4th
April 3, 2007, Myrtle Beach, S.C. – The Dunes Golf and Beach Club announced that Dennis Nicholls will join the staff on April 4 as the new head golf professional. This will be Nicholls’ second stint at The Dunes Club after serving as the assistant professional from 1996 until 1997. His head professional responsibilities will include supervising all employees, maintaining the golf revenue budget, managing the pro shop, organizing and hosting annual member golf tournaments and junior golf clinics and providing individual lessons and clinics for members.
Nicholls brings private, semi-private, public, and resort operations experience to The Dunes Club after spending the last three years as the director of golf at World Tour Golf Links. Before that, he served as the head golf professional at The Dye Club at Barefoot Resort from 1999 through 2003. Prior to 1999, Nicholls was the club manager at Pine Lakes Country Club from 1997 until 1999.

A native of Michigan, Nicholls holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Central Michigan University where he served as a punter/placekicker on the Chippewas’ 1990 Mid American Conference Championship squad. Nicholls and wife, Cheryl, a former Dunes Golf & Beach Club employee, have two children Cassey and Kyle.
