MIAMI – The SST PURE Shaft Alignment network continues to grow with the addition of two new PGA Tour Superstore locations in Plano, Texas.
Each 65,000-square-foot location will offer the SST PURE technology as part of its complete clubfitting menu. In addition to clubfitting, the PGA Tour Superstores offer equipment from all the major brands, shoes, equipment, golf-themed furniture and short- and long-game practice facilities.
"The goal of the PGA Tour Superstore is to provide everything a golfer could ever need," chief clubmaker George Sigeti said. "To accomplish that goal we need to have SST PURE in each store."
In addition to the two locations in Plano, the PGA Tour Superstores also offer SST PURE in their four locations in and around Atlanta, Ga.

SST PURE Shaft Alignment is used by more than 200 players on the PGA Tour and is available through a network of custom clubmakers and manufacturers throughout the United States and internationally.
Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and locates the shaft’s most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its PURE orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves up to 51 percent. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts – steel or graphite – from most major manufacturers.

The patented SST PURE process of club assembly – deemed in compliance with USGA standards – locates each shaft’s irregularities and aligns the shaft to neutralize them, so that each club bends in the direction it should – straight down the target line. Upon having his shafts SST PURE aligned, a player receives a personalized computer printout confirming the process and an SST PURE shaft label for every shaft that has been PUREd.
