Duke Remains Number One; Texas A&M Moves Up Five Spots
NEW YORK, NY—The third Golf World/NGCA Division I Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The complete results, including results from Divisions II and III, will appear in the April 6 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now at www.golfworld.com/womenspoll.
Duke remains the top ranked team, securing 28 of the 30 first-place votes. The Blue Devils have won their last two starts—the UCF Invitational and the LSU/Cleveland Classic. They play one more regular season event—this week’s Bryan National Classic—before going for their 12th straight ACC Championship title.
Texas A&M is responsible for the biggest jump in the poll, moving from No.20 to No.15. The Aggies won the Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii in their last start.
Rounding out the top five are: Arizona State (No.2); Auburn (No.3); Georgia (No.4); Pepperdine (No.5).
