BETHEL, Me. (April 7, 2007) – P3ProSwing, an award-winning swing analyzer, instructional aid and simulator, is now in use for customized clubfitting at several Edwin Watts retail golf stores. In an agreement that will give golfers a chance to experience the accuracy and depth of analysis that P3ProSwing provides, the system is being installed in Edwin Watts stores in the following cities: Concord, N.C.; Dallas; Houston; Memphis, Tenn.; and, in Florida, Palm Harbor, Pensacola, Port St. Lucie and Tampa, with additional nationwide locations planned for the future.
"We are excited about the opportunity to provide our customers with P3ProSwing’s excellent graphics and renderings," said Sven Kessler, vice president of retail sales for Edwin Watts Golf. "Consumers will be the beneficiaries of this outstanding technology. Now we will have the chance to fit customers just like professional golfers would get fit at a major manufacturer."
Highly accurate, versatile and portable, P3ProSwing is in use by golf instructors, clubfitters and individual golfers throughout the U.S. and abroad. P3ProSwing’s extensive features include launch angle and video capture, including line drawing, further enhancing its in-depth swing analysis information. P3ProSwing offers players, instructors and clubfitters a comprehensive understanding of individual swings, leading to greater game improvement.
"Golfers who visit the Edwin Watts stores where P3ProSwing has been installed will enjoy the personalized clubfitting experience they will receive," said Jay Russo, managing director of P3ProSwing. "With its recent enhancements and versatile applications, P3ProSwing rapidly is gaining the attention of devoted golfers, instructors and clubfitters everywhere."
P3ProSwing recently was selected as a Technology Partner of the PGA Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla., which features one of the world’s largest and most advanced golf practice facilities. In addition, P3ProSwing was named among the ‘Best of Show’ as a top-ten teaching and training aid by Golfing Magazine in its "2007 PGA Show Wrap-Up." This recognition is the latest in a series of accolades the versatile individual analyzer has received since its introduction in 2001.
Aside from its use for swing analysis and clubfitting, P3ProSwing also includes an entertainment package with three competitive features: long drive, closest-to-the-pin and hole-in-one contests. P3ProSwing is enjoyed for its entertainment value as well as for its swing analysis capability.
Recognized for its easy-to-use quality and superior design, P3ProSwing analyzes swings and provides for simulated rounds using high-tech graphics and sensors. P3ProSwing, used with a laptop computer and a digital video camera, allows golfers to receive instant feedback with any club, with or without a golf ball. Measurements include club speed, tempo, ball flight, swing plane, club face position (in essence, whether it’s hit the "sweet spot") and distance. Shots may be practiced from any location on the simulated golf course. Computer graphics show the ball’s flight path and actual landing location, whether in the rough, on the fairway or the green. Players may practice on the putting green or the driving range; the advanced golfer may hone in on draws or fades. The system allows up to a foursome to play a round on the Highlands National Golf Course, a 7,393-yard, 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course.
In addition to direct-to-consumer sales from its Web site, P3ProSwing is sold through major partners including some of the nation’s largest golf retail groups. P3Proswing is a subsidiary of Sports Vision Technologies, developing new advanced technologies in sports.
