www.GolfLasVegasNow.com reveals that 1970 Masters Champion Billy Casper co-designed the 36 holes of golf at The Revere Golf Club with esteemed golf course architect Greg Nash.
Las Vegas, NV— www.golflasvegasnow.com is Your Link to Las Vegas Golf, and covers golf in Las Vegas from every angle. The comprehensive Las Vegas golf website features The Revere Golf Club, a 36-hole Las Vegas golf course facility that is officially located in the heart of Anthem, a beautiful master-planned living community located in Henderson, a Las Vegas suburb. The Lexington (the first course to be built at The Revere) and the Concord, feature 36 holes of desert golf intrigue complete with dramatic views of the Las Vegas valley and endearing golf holes that are played through the natural desert canyons of the area.
"Having a former Masters champion as a course designer is an honor, and everyday we work hard to live up to his legendary reputation by providing quality service, value and conditions, all components that make up a Troon Golf experience," says Greg Kinney, General Manager.
Billy Casper and Greg Nash have teamed up several times to create timeless golf courses, and The Revere Golf Club is no different. The par 5, 18th hole on the Concord is one of the most talked about holes in all of Las Vegas golf. The hole begins with a blind tee shot, and then plays steeply downhill to a green guarded in front by a rocky wash while bunkers decorate the back of the green area. The par 5, 7th hole on Lexington matches Concord’s 18th in beauty and challenge. Named "King’s Chapel" in honor of the bell cast by Paul Revere in 1816, this hole starts with tee boxes 60-feet above the fairway and ends with a green shadowed by a dramatic waterfall and canyon walls.
Billy Casper won 51 PGA Tour events, including 23 during a stunning streak between 1965 and 1970. In addition to the 1970 Masters win, he was a two-time US Open champion and won at least one PGA Tour event in 16-straight seasons. Fellow pro and current NBC commentator Johnny Miller has called Casper, "The most underrated golfer in the history of the game."
The Revere Golf Club was honored by the Nevada Golf Course Owners Association as the 2005 Nevada Golf Course of the Year, and also received a rating of 4.5 stars from Golf Digest in 2006. Buckman’s Tavern, The Revere restaurant, was honored with a 2006 VegasGolfer Magazine Fairway Award for "Best Restaurant", and Golfworld Business Magazine recently designated The Revere as a "Top 100 Golf Shop in America."
The Revere Golf Club is professionally managed by Troon Golf, the world’s leading luxury-brand golf management, development and marketing company that operates 185 golf courses in 30 states and 22 countries. The Badlands Golf Club, 27 holes of Johnny Miller Las Vegas golf, is also managed by Troon Golf.
