Johnson & Taylor Follow Masters’ Success With Top 10 Finishes
(Franklin, TN – April 16, 2007) SeeMore Putter Company sustained its momentum at the Verizon Classic with impressive top 10 finishes by Masters Champion Zach Johnson and Vaughn Taylor.
Taylor finished fourth with an impressive 1.556 putts per GIR with an outstanding 1.375 in the final round. He jumped nine spots on the money list to 22nd from 31st this week. Taylor finished in the top 10 in only his second Masters last week.
Johnson followed up his stunning Masters victory with a sixth place finish at Harbourtown. He is now in fourth place on the money list jumping from eighth place. Both are in the top 20 in Tour putting statistics.
"This is another important week for SeeMore on Tour following a significant victory at the Masters," says Jim Grundberg, Managing Director of SeeMore Golf. "We salute Vaughn and Zach, two great friends, who continue their emergence as accomplished Tour professionals."
Both players use the SeeMore putter, and SeeMore is introducing a new milled version (mFGP) of the putter they use.
Last week’s Masters was the second major win for SeeMore. Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open while playing a SeeMore putter at Pinehurst. Both that Open and this Masters were played under what are considered to be the toughest greens and the most highly contested final rounds in both championships’ storied histories.
In historic 1999 season, Stewart led the tour in fewest putts per round using a SeeMore putter. Stewart completed the final round of the US Open at Pinehurst with only 24 putts in what is considered the greatest putting performance in Major Championship history. He one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke, and sunk what’s considered to be the longest putt in Open history on the 18th hole to win the championship by one shot.
Under its new ownership, SeeMore has introduced its new mSeries of putters combining the beauty, precision, accuracy, and feel of 100% milled heads with the original proprietary and proven alignment benefits of the SeeMore RifleScopeâ?¢ Technology (RST) system.
The mSeries comes in four distinctive, finely crafted models to appeal to different player’s putting preferences and styles. The m1 is a classic heel/toe blade with center shaft, the m2 is a classic heel/toe blade with heel shaft and the m3 is a classic mallet with center shaft and the mFGP is a milled version of the original FGP putter used by Johnson to win the Masters and by Stewart to win the U.S. Open.
The patented RST alignment system technology allows a golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process resembles locking radar onto a target.
All mSeries models are available in left hand. Custom grip and lie options are available. All mSeries putters are made in the USA at SeeMore’s Franklin TN facility. The putters will have a suggested retail price of $325. SeeMore putters are custom made in Franklin, TN. SeeMore has a newly redesigned website at www.seemore.com
