State-0f-The-Art Clubfitting Lab & Test Center Will Provide Ultimate Fitting Experience
The new Indoor/Outdoor Morton Golf Player Performance Studio & Test Center introduces a new age of golf equipment fitting and will raise the bar in golf fitting across the country. It opens the week of April 23 at the award-winning Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento, California.
The Player Performance Studio is a three-bay indoor studio with sixteen-foot high doors that open onto Haggin Oaks’ range, voted one of Golf Range Magazine’s Top 100 Driving Ranges. Sixteen highly trained Morton Golf Professionals and Clubfitters will have the absolute latest and finest technology available. Morton Golf has acquired the same technology that major golf manufacturers use to fit the world’s greatest players in their test centers around the world, including a TrackMan Launch Monitor, two Vector Pro Launch Monitors, a S.A.M. PuttLab Computer Fitting System, two Mitchell Loft & Lie machines and an A-Star Video Monitoring System with four cameras. The major manufacturers have also provided hundreds of test clubs to Morton Golf which will fit nearly every conceivable kind of golfer.
TrackManâ?¢ has set a new standard for golf ball and golf club measurement. Based on Doppler radar technology, TrackManâ?¢ measures the exact three-dimensional club movement and ball flight and provides precise data on the ball launch, ball flight and ball landing. TrackManâ?¢ measures the full trajectory of any shot ranging from short pitches to 400-yard drives and measures the landing position with an amazing accuracy of 1 foot at 100 yards. TrackManâ?¢ gives accurate measured data without using any modeling and displays the actual 3D trajectory in real time. This $25,000 piece of computer equipment works off of REAL ball-flight, making it extremely unique in the world of fitting.
AccuSport introduced the revolutionary Vector Launch System to the golf industry in 2003 and it rapidly became a primary tool in launch monitor technology. Vector Launch Systems are in use by nearly every major original equipment manufacturer and thousands of club fitters, retailers and instructors throughout the world. Trusted and used by golf club and ball manufacturers along with research and development labs, AccuSport’s Vector Launch System technology measures the exact ball speed, launch angle, back spin, side spin and side angle of every shot. The new Vector Pro is enhanced with the seamless integration of Vector Pro swing analysis.
SAM PuttLab is an analysis and training system based on accurate ultrasound measurements. It analyzes the 28 most important parameters of the putting stroke and displays the results in easy-to-understand graphic reports. Discovery of individual strengths and weaknesses will result in more effective training. Within seconds the system provides individual feedback on a putting stroke. The analysis reveals even the slightest details of any extraneous movement which helps to develop improvements and training strategies. SAM PuttLab utilizes ultrasound sensory analysis which is far more exact than any other similar system on the market.
ASTAR’s software products have earned a reputation as the finest sports video instruction tools in the world. Designed from inception to take full advantage of today’s powerful, multimedia computers, they bring the Power of Visualization to an instructional program. Learning has never been faster, easier or more effective for instructors and students. Advanced video analysis software allows teaching professionals to provide detailed analysis of the recorded sports motion. Given the effectiveness of visual feedback, using the ASTAR software will significantly increase the effectiveness of lessons and improve the ability for the instructor or coach to facilitate game improvement. ASTAR IV shows students exactly what is happening during the swing and students are able to instantly view any changes or improvements.
Even with all the latest technology, ball flight is still at the heart and soul of Golf Equipment Fitting. Because golfers in the Studio can hit balls indoors to target greens outdoors, they will see and feel how the ball reacts just as if it was on the golf course. The reason leading manufacturers have designed and built their own test centers is because they know from years of experience that ball flight and feel are the confidence builders to making good golfers better golfers.
Morton Golf in the new "indoor-outdoor" Haggin Oaks Player Performance Studio & Test Center has combined the advantages of ball flight, with exclusive computerized technology, and the premier industry-trained and certified fitter/coaches in golf with the largest selection of brand name golf club manufacturers anywhere.
"For the first time in golf, the new Morton Golf Player Performance Studio and Test Center will deliver the same experience to everyday golfers that major manufacturers have been providing to the best players in the world," explained Ken Morton, Sr, CEO of Morton Golf. "Without question, Morton Golf is on the leading edge of the next generation of specialized golf equipment fitting. We’re very excited to be bringing this experience to Sacramento ahead of other parts of the country."
In addition to fitting drivers, fairway woods, utility woods, irons, wedges and putters inside the Players Performance Studio, Morton Golf instructors will also be fitting golf balls. A huge selection of golf balls from all of the major manufacturers will be on-hand so that the fitting results are actualized with the customer’s ball of choice. It will also allow the instructor and customer to realize which ball is the best for them based on visual ball flight and computer results.
