The 21-year-old winner, playing her USA Stars & Stripes C-Thru Grips, started the final round four shots behind the leader but withstood the tough conditions to triumph at the end of the day. The win was worth $390,000, the third richest purse on tour, advancing her to #2 on the 2007 LPGA official money list. The second place finisher in the Ginn Open, whose uses the Mexico C-Thru Grip, is currently in the lead on the money list. The England C-Thru Grips are used by the 3rd place finisher.
