ORLANDO, FLORIDA – April 18, 2007 â?¦ Marriott Golf, the world’s largest resort golf management company, today announced that Thomas Hildreth has been named Golf Course Superintendent at Crane’s Landing Golf Club, an 18-hole golf facility located at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, the only 4 Diamond Resort in Illinois. In this position, Hildreth will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and landscaping on the scenic, George Fazio designed course, as well as the hotel grounds maintenance.
Hildreth comes to Crane’s Landing from Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove, Illinois where he most recently served as Golf Course Superintendent. During his time there, Hildreth was responsible for overseeing a staff of 43, while managing the daily operations and grounds maintenance of the 36-hole golf facility. In addition, Hildreth played a significant role in supervising a $2.5 million renovation project, as well as the installation of a $2.1 million irrigation system.
A Class "A" member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America, Hildreth is also a member of the Midwest Golf Course Superintendent Association. Hildreth received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago, as well as an Associate’s degree in Turf Science, from Danville Junior College in Danville, Illinois.
