PLANO, TEXAS, April 23, 2007 – Adams Golf won the hybrid counts of the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours last week, according to the Darrell Survey. At the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, Adams Golf hybrids accounted for over 25% of all the hybrids in play. It was the fourth PGA TOUR event this year that Adams hybrids topped the hybrid count.
For the seventh straight Nationwide Tour event in 2007, Adams Golf claimed the #1 hybrid spot in the Darrell Survey Hybrid Count. With 71 of its hybrids in play, Adams accounted for over 45% of the total hybrids in play at the tournament. Four of the Top 10 finishers played Adams Golf hybrids, including the new Idea Pro.
Adams claimed the #1 hybrid ranking again on the Champions Tour at the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf. A staggering 62% of all the hybrids played at the event were from Adams Golf. This marked the ninth consecutive Champions Tour event that Adams has won the hybrid count.
"We’re consistently putting high numbers of our hybrids in play each week on the three major professional tours and last week was definitely a highlight when we swept the three hybrid counts," said Max Puglielli, director of Adams Golf tour operations. "Our hybrids outperform the competition and the benefit of playing these clubs is being realized by the very best players in the world – no matter their age or tour experience. That’s what we’re so proud of, the consistent number of our hybrids being played on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours – the numbers don’t lie."
