According to Jana Polsky, AWRT-NYC chapter president, the Award winners are judged on two main criteria: "Professional Excellence"- -exemplifying a high degree of leadership, dedication, talent, innovation and passion; and "Community Commitment"- -serving as an inspiration to others, assuming social responsibility and making an effort to give back to society.
Polsky also noted: "We have an incredibly wonderful and diverse array of accomplished women from the radio and TV fields in New York City as award winners this year, all of whom are deserving of praise and recognition.
