#1 Brand on Tour Wins Open de España Dominates Leader Board at Byron Nelson
Marlborough, MA-April 30th, 2007-CHAMP Spikes, the number one brand on tour, continues to stand firm this season as the winner of the Open de España on the European PGA tour wore CHAMP manufactured spikes.
It was an exciting outcome for the 22 year older winner of the Open de España as he claimed his second European Tour title at the Centro Nacional de Golf on the outskirts of Madrid. The young South African took the title with a final round 67 for a 16 under par total of 272 to win by a shot over the second place finisher.
The winner sported the revolutionary CDT cleat, a unique spike specially designed and made by CHAMP specifically for Hi-Tec shoes, providing breakthrough directional traction with its elongated legs for the unpredictable terrain.
