CEO Jimmy Chao Names Seiji Yoshida COO and Jeff Bennett Vice-President of Sales for Maruman Global, Maruman’s North American Distributor
La Habra, CA, April 30, 2007 – Maruman Golf announced today that it has finalized its U.S. executive team for 2007 and beyond. Having re-launched this very prestigious company here in the U.S., Maruman Global CEO Jimmy Chao is excited about the prospect of attacking the U.S. market with the world’s finest, most luxurious golf equipment. Maruman Golf has been a golf equipment innovator for over 35 years. Maruman has been credited with the development of the first high COR driver, as well as being the first golf equipment manufacturer to incorporate nanotechnology into a line of golf clubs. Since the PGA Show, Maruman has secured U.S. commitments from key off course retailers such as Golfsmith, as well as green grass presence with outstanding accounts like Haggin Oaks Golf Shop and distribution in Canada through Golftown, all of which will be carrying Maruman golf products.
"I am very pleased with the team we have assembled for our re-launch here in the U.S.," Maruman Global CEO Jimmy Chao commented. "Seiji Yoshida has done an outstanding job managing our operations as well as handling some of our key Asian American accounts. Jeff Bennett has brought his decades of experience and has already secured a presence in some of the most important U.S. and Canadian retail outlets. We are also happy to have The Z Group on board to help us as our marketing council, which is a very important aspect of Maruman’s re-entry here in the U.S. We anticipate increased Tour play here in the U.S. in 2007 and 2008 and we further expect that, given the quality of our equipment, the word of mouth about Maruman’s performance, style and quality will bring us more and more ‘converts’. The feedback we have received both at and since the PGA Show has been very encouraging and we look forward to working together as a team in an effort to get more and more golfers to choose Maruman Golf equipment."
