From beginners to single-digit handicappers, the TOUR Academy offers a complete menu of private and group lessons for golfers at various levels of play. Golf program packages include playing lessons, resort-style accommodations, on-course play, and much more.
The personal instruction at the TOUR Academy is complemented by the latest teaching technologies including comparative video analysis where golfers’ swing video is spilt-screened with some of the best players in the game of golf. Each of the videoed sessions will be recorded along with instructional voice-overs to act as an ongoing source for guidance, even after you leave the Academy.
Academy instructors are some of the finest golf instruction professionals in the industry. At the TOUR Academy in Scottsdale, head instructor, John Stahlschmidt, holds several years teaching experience and has taught the beginning golfer, as well as the touring professional. His extensive knowledge of the golf swing coupled with his natural ability to teach the game, make him a very important part of the TOUR Academy team.
The Academy is unique in that it offers both avid and beginner golfers the chance to play on the course where the PGA TOUR is held. Offering both private and group playing lessons, the Academy provides players a first-class golf experience unlike any other golf school.
The Academy programs include two, three and five-day schools, year-round, and also offer summer junior camps beginning in June. The three-day program, the most popular, provides players a comprehensive one-on-one training out on the practice range and short game area, as well as plenty of on-course play where students get to use their new skills during an actual round.
Participants can also choose from a variety of Specialty Programs: 2-Day Short Game, 3-Day Full Swing, Elite and Custom Schools, or customized Corporate Clinics. Specialty Schools provide a source for avid golfers to improve specific aspects of their individual golf games. All player development programs include video swing analysis, written training programs for continued development, and online membership options. With a 4 to 1 student to instructor ratio the Specialty Schools are a must for golfers looking to sharpen certain aspects of their game in a small class setting. The TOUR Academy instruction can be customized to the individual and curriculums can be modified for different groups and/or business functions.
