Harrison Takes Third at Byron Nelson

PACOIMA, Calif. — With advanced technology and eye-catching details, Harrison graphite shafts captured third-place honors at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship. Competing against the best field assembled since the Masters Tournament, PGA TOUR pro Rory Sabbatini posted the low round (64) on Sunday to move into third-place playing Harrison’s Pro 2.5 shaft in his driver and the Harrison Impulse shaft in his hybrid club.

"The strong performance at the Bryon Nelson Championship displayed the accuracy and consistency that Harrison shafts are known for on the PGA and other pro tours," said Arnie Cunningham, Harrison’s representative on the PGA TOUR. "Sabbatini’s third-place finish this week follows another great finish two weeks ago when he earned second-place at the Masters. Harrison shafts continue to provide him with the consistency he needs to compete at the game’s highest level."

Providing superior distance and accuracy, the Harrison Pro 2.5 graphite shaft has proven its reliability time after time, and it is very popular with many PGA professionals. Harrison Pro 2.5 shafts are composed of boron reinforced X-6200 graphite and feature torques ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 degrees. Harrison Pro 2.5 shafts are available in 50- to 70-gram options with flexes ranging from L/A to S/X.

Meanwhile, the Harrison Impulse hybrid shaft features similarly advanced technology, incorporating a patent-pending Inlay Titanium Matrix — a thin layer of titanium wrapped around the shaft’s tip section to increase stability, improve accuracy and to reduce shaft torque. The Impulse also possesses a lower balance point and produces a higher launch angle to get the ball into the air more easily. Impulse shafts are available as a Fairway Wood (75 grams, 44-inch length, 3.5 degrees torque) or Utility Iron (85 grams, 42-inch length and 2.5 degrees torque).
