Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute trained 82 industry professionals during the first four months of this year at its new facility in Dayton, Ohio with most students attending multiple schools.
PGA Golf Professionals from Dick’s Sporting Goods represented 43 of the 82 attendees. Other students came from the USA, Spain, Ireland and Russia. Yes, Russia has a golf course in Moscow and two students from Prestovo Golf & Yacht Club attended all three classes offered by Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute.

All attendees received a personalized certificate for successfully completing each school they attended. PGA members also received continuing educations credits with The PGA of America.
A total of 8 students received their "Master Club Performance Specialist" certificate for attending the Club Repair Technician, Club Performance Fitting and True Temper® "Gold Certified" Schools. These eight graduates are Landon Decker, Peter Herzog, Michael Stevens, Artem Nesterov, Alexander Grvzdov Sam Robertson, Val Johnson and T. Jay Baker. This "Master" certificate recognizes industry professionals who make the total commitment to continuing education.
"Our students learn the skills necessary for performing re-shafting, re-gripping, loft/lie adjustments and all repair techniques for today’s modern golf clubs and performance fitting using a Doppler Radar launch monitor," states Paul Bessler, PGA Golf Professional and Director of Instruction for Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute. "Our True Temper® "Gold Certified" School graduates learn the skills necessary for frequency-tuning the new Black Gold® shaft. They learn how to cut 43.5 inch blank shafts to frequency gradients for standard flexes and sub-flexes."
