Florida Southern Remains Number One
NEW YORK, NY— The final Golf World/NGCA Division II Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I and III, will appear in the May 11 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now at www.golfworld.com/womenspoll.
Florida Southern is the unanimous number one team, earning all seven first-place votes. The Lady Mocs won the NCAA South Regional by five strokes over Rollins, the four-time defending NCAA D-II champions. The two schools are the favorites at this week’s national championship, being played at Stonebrook Golf Club in Pace, Fla.
Rounding out the top five are: Rollins (No.2); Ferris State (No.3); Drury (No.4); West Florida (No.5).
