GILBERT, Ariz. – Butthead Covers is proud to announce the arrival of the latest additions to their family, "Baby Bum" and "Wisecrack", on April 22 at 2:07 p.m. weighing a mere 8oz, and measuring 18 inches long. Although not identical twins, the two are the sixth and seventh members of the "Bootyful People" line which was successfully launched at the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.
Butthead Covers is known worldwide as the inventors and owners of the "tail end" animal covers. But after receiving numerous requests to create a line of headcovers patterned after different characters, Alice and Danny Scott, CEO and COO of Butthead Covers, stepped outside the animal tail box and created the "Bootyful People" line.
"We weren’t going to go there with the human aspect but some of our customers insisted," said Alice Scott. "In fact, we received several e-mails directly from soldiers in Iraq asking for the military hero. How could we not honor them? Feedback and presales at the PGA Show proved very successful."
These whimsical head covers are designed after a plumber, baby, military member, fireperson, baby, mermaid, Santa, prisoner and snowman that all look like they just dove into your bag. This brings the total of available Butthead Covers designs to 80, covering most of the animal kingdom.
The headcovers fit all clubs from the big butt 460cc driver on down to the little fairway woods, with the exception of the mermaid, which fits up to a 3 wood. As Alice noted, "Design is very important and if we made her any bigger, she would be a manatee and not a mermaid." The sock, composed of yarn materials, provides maximum protection to the golf club shaft.
