Runner-Up at The Players Championship Uses New Valerie Putter
DENVER, May 14, 2007 – YES! Golf had another strong showing this week on tour. The runner-up of The Players Championship made 4 straight birdies on the back nine Sunday to finish with a four-day total of nine-under, 2 shots behind the winner. He switched last week to a YES! putter prototype called Valerie, scheduled to hit the golf shops in August.
The Valerie putter is a C-Groove face-balanced cavity back mallet with a double bend steel shaft and a single alignment line.
This is the second PGA TOUR player to recently make a switch to a YES! putter and experience positive results immediately. At the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a tour player made the switch to the YES! Sophia putter and then recorded 4-top ten finishes in a row.
On the LPGA Tour, the runner-up at the Michelob Ultra Open also had positive results after the switch last week to the C-Groove putter, Natalie. On her way to a second place finish, she set a new course record Saturday with a round of 63.
Natalie is a center-shafted face-balanced mallet putter featuring a large head and long single sight line.
Yes! Golf, based in Denver, Colorado, is the proven leader in grooved putter technology. Harold Swash, known as the European putting doctor, introduced the innovative theory of concentric grooves in 1995. Today, C-Groove putters are taking the golf world by storm making Yes! Golf one of the fastest growing putters on the professional tours. For more information on Yes! Golf call 800.845.4327 or www.yesgolf.com.
