Return, Promotion of Two Company Veterans Enhance Course-Management Firm’s Industry-Leading Competence
[VIENNA, Virginia] — Billy Casper Golf ("BCG") today announces the appointment of Doug Wayne as Vice President of Human Resources Development and the promotion of Mike Cutler to Vice President of Business Development – two veterans of the company and major additions to the golf-course management firm’s continued success.
Wayne, a two-time winner of BCG’s General Manager of the Year award, recently returned to the company to oversee staff recruitment, hiring and training at BCG’s 75 golf courses and corporate office. With more than two decades of industry achievements, Wayne smartly identifies courses’ organizational needs, attracts and enlists highly-skilled and motivated personnel, and provides them platforms for professional growth. This translates into exceptional golfer experiences and even greater bottom-line results for BCG-managed courses.
Cutler started at BCG as a Director of Golf at Oak Ridge, Tennessee’s Centennial Golf Course in 1997 and has risen to become Regional Manager and Regional Vice President. As BCG’s new Vice President of Business Development, Cutler will help to direct the firm’s growth through management-contract and course acquisitions. In 2001, Cutler won BCG’s annual Chairman’s Award, the company’s highest honor given to an individual who demonstrates exemplary dedication and overall performance.
"Billy Casper Golf is thrilled about the new roles for Doug Wayne and Mike Cutler, two standouts who smartly help our courses, clients and company thrive," says Peter Hill, BCG Chairman and CEO. "Great service is key to the enjoyment Billy Casper Golf provides our guests, and Doug will help our courses assemble the best possible service teams. Mike Cutler is one of BCG’s most accomplished employees, and he will identify great facilities for the firm to deliver superior golf experiences and optimize profitability for ownership."
"I am excited to further attract the best and brightest professionals who add to the Billy Casper Golf culture that the golf industry covets and envies," says Wayne. "And the superb way our staff presents our courses and treats golfers leads to incredible word-of-mouth and customer loyalty."
Says Cutler: "It’s satisfying that Billy Casper Golf shows increasing confidence in my abilities with even more exciting responsibilities. There are many under-managed golf courses in America and abroad that would greatly benefit from Billy Casper Golf’s proven track record of turning sinking ships, stuck-in-the-mud and moderately-successful golf courses into top-performing assets."
