Texas Photographer’s Unique Images Used to Show Newest Hill Country Private Golf Course
(Austin, Texas) – May 7th, 2007 was a day to remember for those in attendance at The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch (www.cordilleraranch.com). Why? Because Jack Nicklaus was on the grounds, answering questions, elbowing ribs and playing his newest Texas design, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Cordillera Ranch.
Mr. Nicklaus entered the incredible pool complex around 11:00am Monday morning and sat down with Cordillera Ranch president David Hill, to answer a few questions from the media. Completely comfortable when posed with tough questions, Mr. Nicklaus wrapped up the media session with a polite wave and "thank you" to attendees and headed down to the driving range for an impromptu clinic in front of hundreds of adoring fans, mostly Cordillera Ranch members, guests and property owners.
After a brief stop at the practice putting green, Mr. Nicklaus walked up to the first tee and played his incredible design, all the while narrating his journey and discussing design theories and nuances with the fascinated crowd of hundreds.
That’s right. Under perilous skies and from the back tees, 67-year old Jack Nicklaus entertained the folks in attendance like it was his first time ever doing something like this. The atmosphere was sublime.
Carlton Wade was hired by the Hill family (developers of Cordillera Ranch) to photograph the event, and photos thereof continue to filter into his blog due to high demand from golfers and homeowners alike.
