Benefiting the United Warrior Survivor Foundation
CORONADO, CA – May 15, 2007 – GolfGym, the industry leader in golf fitness announced today that for the third year in a row, it will be a sponsor of the United Warrior Survivor Foundation (UWSF) Stars in Stripes Charity Golf Tournament at Coronado Municipal Golf Course in Coronado, CA on Saturday, June 9, 2007. The UWSF is a non-profit organization committed to the spouses surviving Special Operations personnel killed in the line of duty. Player spots are still available.

The Stars in Stripes Charity Golf Tournament kicks off with a shotgun start at 12 noon with a team best ball scramble format. Golfers can sign up as a part of a foursome or as a single player. Check-in takes place at 10:30 a.m. at Coronado Municipal Golf Course in Coronado, CA. The entry fee is $175 ($100 for Active Military), and includes Greens Fees, Golf Cart, BBQ Lunch, Goodie Bag, T-Shirt, three drink tickets, and Surf N’ Turf Dinner.
This year, golfers will enjoy being entertained by Eric Tracy, a.k.a. "The Mulligan Man". Dressed in his signature brightly colored knickers with a putter in one hand and a bullhorn in the other, golfers will enjoy fun contests, games and rock n’ roll golf music throughout the day. In the last 5 years Eric has performed at more than 200 charity events helping charities raise millions of dollars. "We’ll be adding golf games and goodies never seen before in this event", stated Tracy.
"We still have openings for players, sponsors, raffle prizes and donations, and we encourage people to come out and help us raise money for the wives and children of the Special Operations men killed in action," said Steve Ruth, Planning Director. "This is a great opportunity to thank those men and women who serve our country and to help give something back to those who gave all."
The UWSF is a corporation dedicated to the surviving spouses of Special Operations military personnel killed in the line of duty since September 11, 2001. UWSF offers educational grants along with educational counseling, financial guidance, investment planning and other programs. UWSF also provides emotional support through professional bereavement counseling and support groups throughout the United States.
