Craig Kanada gets Sponsor Exemption into The Memorial
PLANO, Texas (May 17, 2007) – Links Sports announced that PGA Tour player and former Ohio State golfer, Craig Kanada has received a sponsor’s exemption for the prestigious Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley to be played May 31-June 3 at the Muirfield Village Golf Course in Dublin, Ohio. Craig played golf for Ohio State and graduated in 1991.
"I am excited about returning to the Buckeye State to play in Jack’s tournament." Said Kanada. "This will be my first appearance in the Memorial Tournament and I expect it to be one of the highlights of the year."
Kanada’s began his first year back on the PGA Tour with a Top 10 in his first PGA Tour tournament at the Sony Open and placing in the top 30 in his first 5 PGA tournaments played. In 2006 he won the Nationwide Tour’s Utah Energy Solutions Championship and the season ending Nationwide Tour Championship at the Houstonian.
