NORWALK, Conn. – The buzz from last year’s PGA Fall Expo continues to build momentum as attending industry leaders share their positive experiences in preparation for the 2007 event. In 2006, Show organizers made a bold move to relocate the event to Mandalay Bay Resort & Convention Center in Las Vegas, introduce a golf outing and launch a complimentary industry reception at House of Blues. The changes proved more than successful as post-Show surveys recorded the highest satisfaction results in six years and told the story of an event that has been reborn.
The 2007 PGA Fall Expo, Sept 11-12, will be again be held at Mandalay Bay-Las Vegas and will build on last year’s successes and include even more exhibitors, conference topics covering the latest trends from industry experts and a new Golf Lifestyles Area featuring new product categories. The first ever PGA Fall Expo Demo Day featuring all of the latest equipment products and an exclusive golf outing will be offered at the Royal Links Golf Club in Las Vegas, the day prior on Sept. 10, 2007. Additionally, the Show will continue its popular opening night complimentary reception, Sept. 11, at the House of Blues in Las Vegas.
Many industry leaders have already committed to attend this year including AGM Member Andrea Brome of Lake Las Vegas Resort who commented "I liked the 2006 Show. It was probably one of the best Las Vegas shows that they have had in a long time." Michelle Bumgardner of Pebble Beach, also an AGM member, said after last year’s event "As a first time attendee to this show, I was pleasantly surprised to see such an amazing turn out for this event. The Mandalay Bay was the perfect location and it certainly gave the show a personal feel."
To better meet the golf industry’s Spring buying needs, the event held several focus groups and will be adding many special new areas to enhance golf facility’s total profit picture. "As we continue to strive to create the best platform for retailers and manufacturers to book Spring equipment and apparel offerings, we have discovered that many buyers are also looking for additional golf lifestyle options to increase profits and expand their sales," said PGA Golf Exhibitions Vice President and Show Manager Ed Several. "This year’s PGA Fall Expo delivers more golf vendors than ever before plus an assortment of lifestyle product categories. These new offerings are making a substantial impact on golf retail nationwide and the 2007 PGA Fall Expo offers attendees an inside look into current golf manufacturers’ lifestyle brand extensions, plus new vendors that are already building incremental revenue at golf retail shops nationwide."
"Additionally, the Expo floor will feature Idea Centers providing insights into new ideas that have proven successful at golf shops across the country. Our goal is for every attendee to return from the PGA Fall Expo armed with a fresh merchandise mix for spring 2008, knowledge of trends and outside factors impacting their business and the tools they need to create a more profitable business center."
More than 4,000 industry professionals and 330-plus golf manufacturers are expected to participate. PGA Professionals and golf industry professionals can register now at www.pgaexpo.com.
