SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The oldest and largest two-year golf college in the world, the San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA) has announced an impressive line-up of guest speakers who will be highlighted during the summer semester at the SDGA Phoenix Campus.

Providing the students with priceless insight into the golf industry, SDGA summer guest speakers will include Debbie Waitkus, president of Golf for Cause; Paul Buchanan, Western Representative for Henry Griffitts; Stephanie Krieling, counselor for Community Bridges; Sean Sheppard, president of Magique Golf; Jennifer Scott, sports hypnotist; Loraine Thies, associate director for Arizona Golf Association and Gary Brawley, golf course architect from Tripp Davis & Associates. The SDGA summer semester — which began May 4, 2007 — features a comprehensive curriculum that includes everything from golf course operations to business law to golf club repair.

"The San Diego Golf Academy has been dedicated to providing golfers with the best possible learning experience for many years, and we’re honored to be a part of their summer semester," says Sean Sheppard, president of Magique Golf, America’s No.1 manufacturer of custom-fit clubs. "Custom fitting is the most steadily growing segment of the golf market, and the SDGA curriculum is always at the forefront in industry trends."

SDGA offers a 16-month program of golf instruction and golf business management on five campus locations in major golf markets — Phoenix, Honolulu, Myrtle Beach, Orlando and San Diego. The curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the education required to get the golf job they desire. The SDGA is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a national advocate and institutional voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation.
