LOUISVILLE, Ken. — The world’s only independent association of golf clubmakers, the Professional Clubmakers’ Society (PCS) announces that it has selected Meng & Associates Inc. of Georgetown, Texas, for public relations and marketing support.
The Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society is dedicated to providing information on the art of fitting, building and repairing of golf clubs for players at all skill levels.
"One of our goals has always been to inform and educate the golfing public about the value of professional golf clubmaking and clubfitting," says Don Radcliff, president of the PCS board of directors. "Meng & Associates has an impressive track record in the golf industry, and we’re confident they will help us achieve our goals and enhance our communications with our corporate partners and members, as well as to golfers and new clubmakers."
Specializing in brand building and public relations, Meng & Associates is a full-service marketing firm that has built strong relationships in the golf industry. As a part of that service, Meng & Associates also founded the ClubmakingWire (www.clubmakingwire.com), the industry’s only on-line news service entirely dedicated to golf equipment and custom fitting.
"We’re very excited about our new relationship with the PCS," says John Meng, president of Meng & Associates. "The PCS has long been one of the most respected voices for custom fitting and golf equipment, and it’s a sincere privilege for us to work with them."
The mission of the PCS is to foster, promote and elevate the skill of fitting, building and repairing golf clubs by providing educational, marketing and technical support to its members and inform and educate the golfing public of the value of professional golf club making and club fitting.
PCS provides invaluable information on the latest in component equipment and supplies to its members through various print and online publications. In addition, the PCS hosts an Annual Membership Conference which features clubmaking seminars, approved by the PGA and LPGA; hands-on equipment testing, and workshops on club fitting, clubmaking and club repair. However, perhaps, the most valuable service offered by the PCS is its Certification Program which signifies a clubmaker has met the highest standard of academic proficiency, applied technology and excellence in craftsmanship in the areas of club making, club fitting and club repair.
