DETROIT, Mich. – Former Buick Open Champion Jim Furyk and John Daly are among the early commitments to the 2007 Buick Open field. The tournament is scheduled to take place at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, June 25-July 1.
"Jim Furyk is one of the top players in the world and we’re excited that he’ll be returning to Warwick Hills," said Larry Peck, Buick golf marketing manager. "John Daly is an exciting player fans love to watch. Both pros are great additions to the Buick Open field."
Furyk, 37, is third on the 2007 official World Golf Ranking and fifth on the PGA Tour’s all-time earnings list. He won the 2003 Buick Open and has seven top-10 finishes in 12 career appearances at Warwick Hills. Furyk has 12 career PGA Tour wins, including the 2003 U.S. Open.
Daly, 41, has five career PGA Tour victories including the 1991 PGA Championship, the 1995 British Open Championship and the 2004 Buick Invitational. He finished second to Vijay Singh at the 2004 Buick Open and will be making his seventh appearance at Warwick Hills.
Other early commitments to the Buick Open field include Charles Howell III, John Rollins, Brett Wetterich, Lucas Glover, Trevor Immelman and former Buick Open Champions Woody Austin, Rocco Mediate, Tom Pernice, Jr. and Billy Mayfair. In addition, Bubba Watson, who leads the PGA Tour in driving distance, is also scheduled to be at Warwick Hills.
Furyk, Daily and rest of the 2007 Buick Open field will compete for a record $4.9 million purse, including an $882,000 first prize and the keys to a 2008 Buick Enclave.

Buick is the title-sponsor of two PGA Tour events in 2007. In addition to the Buick Open, Buick sponsors The Buick Invitational in La Jolla, Calif., which was won by Tiger Woods during the week of January 22-28.

More than $8.8 million has been donated to the Buick Open charities, including a record $832,000 in 2006.
