Johnson and Levin Prefer Brand’s Luxury Performance Apparel System
(Markham, Ontario) – Trend-setting designer Ralph Dunning announces that staff players Zach Johnson, the 2007 Masters champion, and Spencer Levin, a rising star on the Canadian Tour, both recorded victories this past weekend while competing in complete playing systems from Dunning Golf luxury performance apparel.
Johnson continued his remarkable shotmaking by defeating Ryuji Imada with a birdie on the first playoff hole at the AT&T Classic in Duluth, Georgia. During final-round play, the 31-year-old Iowa native chose to wear Dunning Golf’s distinctive Interface Channel Vent Polo, Interface Stretch Performance Flat Front Pants and white Tour Belt. Early rounds at the TPC Sugarloaf saw Johnson, who also won this event in 2004, compete in the company’s Interface Channel Textured Polo and Interface Channel Tone Stripe Polo.
Formerly one of the world’s top amateurs, the 22-year-old Levin recorded his first professional victory at the Iberostar Riviera Maya Open. In only his fourth start on the Canadian Tour, Levin posted a final-round, 7-under 65 to claim a one-shot win over fellow Dunning Golf staff player Derek Gillespie. In warm weather at Iberostar Playa Paraiso GC in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Levin wore Dunning Golf’s Interface Stretch Line Polo, Interface FX Pique Polo and Interface FX Pique Under Panel Polo throughout the week.
"It continues to be a tremendous year for Tour pros competing in our brand," says Dunning, the company’s founder and principal designer. "In very different conditions, Zach and Spencer relied on proprietary fabric technologies to keep their core temperatures stable. That, along with our unequaled fit and function, allows them to focus on performing their best against the stiffest competition."
Earlier this season, Johnson wore Dunning Golf’s compression undergarments, polos, pants and outerwear while winning the year’s first major championship. This combination provided a variety of game-enhancing benefits, including increased airflow, moisture wicking, breathability, permanent moisture management, muscle support and UV protection.
"As an athlete, you want to be able to perform your best under any conditions, and I feel Dunning Golf’s luxury performance apparel system allows me to do that," said Johnson.
Dunning Golf is sold at prestigious on-course shops throughout North America, such as Brentwood Country Club, Coppinwood Golf Club, Dallas National Golf Club, Hazeltine National Golf Club, Isleworth Country Club, Ritz Carlton (Jupiter, FL) Golf Club, Sherwood Country Club, Southern Highlands Golf Club, Trump National and Vaquero Club. The line is also available at Canada’s premier golf retailer, Golf Town.
In stores now, the Spring 2007 collection includes a variety of polos, mock necks, shorts, pants, compression undergarments, pullovers, thermal tops and select outerwear, retailing from $35 to $150. Highlights include the distinctive, modern-preppy look of the Interface Stretch Line Polo ($99).
