PLANO, TEXAS, May 21, 2007 – Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) announces that its hybrids ranked #1 on the equipment counts of the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours last week, according to the Darrell Survey. This marks the fifth time in 2007 that Adams has swept the hybrid counts on the top three professional U.S. men’s tours.
No other manufacturer can make the same claim as Adams has won every count on the Champions and Nationwide Tours in 2007 and five of the counts on the PGA Tour. The company’s hybrids also rank #1 in the combined count for the three tours with 1,587 Adams hybrids in play this year, compared to 1,008 hybrids of the next closest competitor.
PGA Tour
At the AT&T Classic in Duluth, Ga., Adams Golf hybrids accounted for 30% of the total hybrids in play. Additionally, two Top 10 finishers played Idea Pro hybrids. As a sign of the growth in the hybrid category, six players carried two or more Adams Golf hybrids in their bags.
Nationwide Tour
Not only did the winner of the BMW Charity Pro-Am play an Idea Pro hybrid, so too did the two other players chasing him. A total of six Idea Pro hybrids were played between the Top 3 finishers at the tournament. Not a big surprise when over 46% of all the hybrids at the event are from Adams Golf. In fact, 83 Adams Golf hybrids were put in play by the Nationwide Tour pros, compared to 32 hybrids from the next closest competitor.
Champions Tour
Adams Golf Tour Staff Pro Brad Bryant won the Regions Charity Classic after a three-hole playoff against his fellow staff member, R.W. Eaks. Bryant played a 16-degree Idea Pro hybrid and four other Top 10 finishers, including Scott Hoch, had Adams hybrids in their bags. Adams Golf also finished with the #1 Fairway Wood and ranked #1 in the overall wood count.
