PLANO, TEXAS, May 21, 2007 – Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) Tour Staff Pro Brad Bryant used a final round charge of 7-under par to capture his second consecutive Regions Charity Classic victory, as well as the second straight Champions Tour win for Adams Golf. The repeat win for Adams comes on the heels of Scott Hoch’s victory at the FedEx Kinko’s Classic on May 6.
Bryant’s four-round total tied that of fellow Adams Golf Tour Staff Pro R.W. Eaks, putting both players into a sudden death playoff. With a 13-foot putt for birdie on the third playoff hole, Bryant was awarded the $240,000 winner’s check. This was Bryant’s first win of the year and third career victory on the Champions Tour. He’s posted four other Top 5 finishes this season and currently ranks third on the Official Money List.
Along with using an Insight BTY driver, Bryant played a 16-degree Idea Pro hybrid, winner of the 2007 Golf Digest Hot List Editors’ Choice Award. Bryant tied for third in Greens In Regulation (GIR) and he currently ranks fourth in Average Driving Distance at 286.8 yards. Like Bryant, Eaks played an Insight BTY driver and led the tournament in Average Driving Distance at 304.8 yards. He also played an Insight BTY 3-wood and 5-wood.
"We are very happy for Brad and congratulate him for his back-to-back wins at the Regions Charity Classic in Alabama," said Chip Brewer, Adams Golf President and CEO. "It was a real treat for us to watch Brad battle R.W. down the stretch on Sunday – both men are terrific players and put on a show for the fans with clutch shots during the final round and extra playoff holes. That’s two consecutive Champions Tour events that our golf clubs have been in the bags of the Top 2 finishers, a real testament to both our staff players and our products."
