Naples, FL, May 21, 2007 – The Fourth Annual EWGA Naples Ladies’ Pro-Am, presented by N Media Group, will be held at Tiburón Golf Course and the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort on Saturday, June 9. Proceeds of the event will benefit local girls through the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf and PACE Center for Girls in Immokalee.
Women of all skill levels are invited to play in this scramble event, and each foursome will include an LPGA Teaching Professional. Players can sign up with a specific professional, or the registration committee will do the pairing. This event has a statewide draw as half of the field has traditionally come from other cities in Florida.
"Our local female golfers love the opportunity to meet ladies from all over the state at this event," comments Cindy Booker-Gatz, LPGA Teaching Professional and Pro-Am committee chair. "It is so great that many of these teams reconnect every year for the Pro-Am. Sometimes the players and pros are all from different cities, and they meet back at Tiburon each year for this event."
The tournament fee includes a reception on Friday evening, breakfast and golf on Saturday, as well as an awards luncheon immediately following golf. The Goin’ for the Green Silent Auction/Reception on Friday, June 8 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort is open to anyone, not just golfers. Silent auction offerings include trips to other Ritz-Carlton resorts, art, and lots of golf packages and merchandise.
The shotgun start on Saturday, June 9 is at 8:15 a.m., followed by an awards luncheon. Prizes will be given to the top net and gross teams. First place awards will be provided by Tiffany and Co. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top LPGA Teaching Professionals.
