Former Softspikes’ Pioneer, Who Helped Change The Face Of Golf By Eliminating Metal Spikes, To Bring Vast Golf Industry Expertise To SkyGolf Management Team

Ridgeland, MS, May 22, 2007 â?¦ Brian Golden, the first employee of Softspikes and a major force behind the success of the Softspikes brand — one of golf’s all-time best selling products — has been named Vice President of Business Development at SkyGolf, LLC, marketer of the revolutionary SkyCaddie® GPS Rangefinder.

"We are honored to have Brian Golden on our team. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and will be a key member of our executive team," said Richard Edmonson, Chief Executive Officer, SkyGolf, LLC.

In his new role, Golden will be responsible for working on sales and marketing initiatives, as well as building an International distribution network for the SkyCaddie line of products, which today are utilized by hundreds of thousands of golfers, on over 15,000 golf courses in 45 countries around the world.

"The SkyCaddie allows golfers to play better, faster, and have more fun! It’s good for the game, just like Softspikes," said Golden. "That’s what drew me to the company. All you have to do is play golf with a SkyCaddie unit once, and you’ll never want to play without it again."

Golden, who boasts more than 25-years of golf industry experience, is a former award winning golf professional and a lead executive behind the success of the Softspikes brand, from the global start-up, to building the OEM network, to securing a dominant market position. He was also instrumental in creating and implementing the now famous mandate marketing campaign, which forced golf courses all over the world to ban metal spikes in favor of Softspikes. Prior to Softspikes, Golden served as the Head Professional at the TPC at Avenel, in Potomac, Maryland.

"I am very excited to join the SkyGolf team and help drive the continued success of SkyCaddie products around the world," said Golden. "This product has dramatically changed the game by allowing golfers of all levels the ability to play better golf, while improving pace of play in ways never before seen in the industry."
