ITASCA, IL. – May23, 2007 — Excel Golf Products, Inc., manufacturer of Zero Friction Golf Tees, the "Winningest" performance golf tee on Tour, announced today that the company has begun to fulfill its Tocare Golf Grip orders.
Tocare Golf Grips, its name inspired by the Italian word for touch, pronounced Toe-Carr-eh, were officially introduced to golf retailers at the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL., but orders began to compile weeks before when Zero Friction Golf Tee distributors were shown the original prototypes.
Excel Golf Products, Inc. takes great pride in its network of distributors and retailers and was confident they would support the launch of a grip that featured technologies never before integrated into a grip and they were right. These initial orders and those taken from the show shipped into the marketplace.
"The Tocare Grip line is unlike any other grip line on the market. Tocare Grips are engineered with both an internal and external component. The Tocare Tour also known as the T2, features internal VDP Technologyâ?¢. Whether it is a putter, driver or iron, T2’s VDP Technologyâ?¢ diffuses the vibration produced from the impact of the ball and club head, generating a crisper feel while eliminating excess shock in your hands and joints.
The external component that differentiates the Tocare Golf Grip line is its Multi-Durometer construction; durometer being the firmness measurement for golf grips. This Multi-Durometer construction is designed to assist golfers in forming the correct grip for a better swing. A higher durometer is featured at the top and a lower durometer is used at the bottom. This composition reduces overall grip pressure to generate higher swing speeds.
To maximize the ultimate in touch and feel, the T2 Grip is engineered with a proprietary Multi-Compound makeup. These highly specialized materials provide optimum tackiness, and enhanced feel. Tocare also performs extremely well in all types of weather conditions.
As with the Zero Friction Golf Tees, Tocare Golf Grips will be used on the PGA Tour. They are currently in several PGA Tour vans and are being used by PGA Touring Professionals. LDA Champion Mike Dobbyn has fitted all his golf clubs including his driver with the Tocare T-2 Tour grip.
The new Tocare Golf Grip line is available at retail and comes in a variety of colors including black, red, blue, gray, yellow and pink. Standard, putter, mid-size, and undersize/women’s grips are available. Manufacter’s Suggested Retail is $8.99.
