CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Entries are now being accepted for the sixth annual Lance Two-Man Team Championship. The event takes place July 7-8 at Stonebridge Golf Club just outside Charlotte.
The tourney is one of the premier best-ball championships in the greater Charlotte region and is expected to draw a full field of 75 teams. Competition is in two divisions – gross and net – with a total purse of $5,000 in gift certificates from Edwin Watts Golf. All golfers with verifiable handicaps of 0-16 are eligible to enter.
Format is 36 holes of best ball, with gift certificates awarded to the top 10 teams in the gross division and top 10 teams in the net division.
"The event continues to grow each year and we expect it to sell out in advance," said tournament director Dennis McCormac. "Registration is already ahead of last year’s pace."
Entry fee is $165 per person or $330 per team. Entry includes: cart and green fees, range balls, Lance snacks, Saturday lunch, and prizes. Practice rounds are available that week for $25.
Applications are available at Stonebridge Golf Club and all Edwin Watts locations in Charlotte. Registration is also available online at www.amateurgolftour.net.
