Site provides website design, on-site reporting and video production
CARLSBAD, CA – In an effort to increase the visibility and buzz surrounding their event, the Carlton Woods Invitational, The Club at Carlton Woods hired amateurgolf.com to provide website design, on-site reporting and video production.
"We are not going to stop until we are the premier golf invitational in the country," said Tournament Director Mark Steinbauer, who is also the Director of Golf at the club.
To help accomplish that aim, Peter Conroy, a six-year print journalism veteran, was dispatched to The Woodlands, Texas to cover the three-day event, writing daily stories and putting together an eight-minute video montage of the tourney, which can be viewed at http://www.amateurgolf.com/articleview.asp?id=1975.
The video was shot with a Panasonic AG-DVC60, and edited using Avid Pro software. Amateurgolf.com will be providing further video coverage of the Trans-Miss Amateur, the U.S. Amateur as well as many others. Any tournaments that would like to inquire about amateurgolf.com’s media services are encouraged to contact Pete Wlodkowski at (760) 929-9297.
Bob Hullender repeated as the senior champion of the event, (a profile of Hullender can be found here: http://www.amateurgolf.com/articleview.asp?id=1976) and was the first player in tourney history to finish under par. Jonathan Mathias took the mid-am division by two strokes, holding off a late charge by Dan Crockett. Both players are from the San Antonio area.
