"There’s No Place Like Home"
Modesto, CA — In an exciting finish in a playoff against Welshman Bradley Dredge, Padraig Harrington ends a 25 year drought of an Irishman winning the Irish Open. Hi-Tec Golf congratulates Padraig Harrington as he claims victory Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort in Limerick.
As one can imagine this win was definitely an exciting one for Padraig at home. It was equally as exciting for Hi-Tec Golf. Harrington has been an endorser of the Hi-Tec brand for 12 years. Over the last three he has been involved in the development of the CDT Super Power Tour which has assisted in increasing his ball speed on average 7 mph, equalling over 15 yards more distance.
"We are thrilled for Padraig on his win at the Irish Open. We are fortunate to have him on our staff", states Fredrik Sundstrom , Director of Product Development. "This partnership works because he continually pushes us to make improvements in our shoes that will impact his game. The days of shoes just keeping a golfers foot dry are over. We believe a shoe can improve a golfers performance as seen in our CDT Power Technology."
Hi-Tec Golf has been receiving accolades from industry experts on the CDT Power launched in 2004. Every shoe in the line begins with the Hi-Tec Core Technology Outsole. From there we add features and benefits to compliment the oustole and increase the comfort and support in the shoe.
"We feel that each year gets more and more exciting for us as we gain momentum and launch new options for the end consumer. We don’t want to look like just another saddle on the wall. For 2007 we added vibrant colors and stylish uppers. We expanded on our V-Lite category offering one of the worlds lightest golf shoe" says Sundstrom. "2008 will again be a time for us to launch something new and lead the industry in yet another unanticipated direction that will change the way people think about their footwear."
