Rife Putters Captures a Major Victory at the 68th Senior PGA Championship

May 30, 2007

Sanford, FL – Rife Putters had another big weekend on the Professional Golf Tours with a great win at the 68th Senior PGA Championship, a 2nd at the BMW PGA Championship, and a 2nd at the Melwood Prince George’s County Open on the Champions, European, and Nationwide Tours respectively.

Rife putters have been in the hands of at least one Top 10 Finisher at every Major event this year. A 5th at the Masters, 6th at the PLAYERS Championship, 2nd at the BMW PGA Championship (a Major on the European Tour) and a win at the Senior PGA Championship (a Major on the Champions Tour) is an impressive feat for any putter company. What makes this feat even more remarkable is that Rife doesn’t pay any players! "I don’t think we need to say anything," said Matt Molloy President of Rife Putters, "I think we’ll just let our putters do all the talking."

Champions Tour

The 68th Senior PGA Championship was held at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina. This was the Champions Tour player’s first victory and fifth Top 10 Finish of the 2007 season. He used a Rife Two Bar Mallet putter to post a final round score of 68, the lowest round of the day, to capture the 2 stroke victory and earn a paycheck for $360,000.00. This victory earned him 720 Charles Schwab Cup points and vaulted him into 2nd Place with 1,062 total points in the season-long Schwab Cup race. He and his Rife Two Bar putter currently rank 3rd on the Champions Tour in Putts Per Round with a 28.32 average.

European Tour

Rife Putters had a big weekend on the European Tour as well, with a 2nd Place Finish at the BMW PGA Championship held at the Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. The T-2nd Place Finisher ranked #1 in Putts Per GIR for the tournament (1.572 average) and forced a playoff at the European Tour’s first Major of the 2007 season. The Tour Player has been rolling a Rife Barbados putter for almost a year now, and has quickly become one of the worlds top Tour Players rising to 17th in the 2007 PGA TOUR Official World Golf Ranking. He is in second place on the PGA Tour with a 1.717 Putting Average.

Nationwide Tour

Rife’s Mr. Beasley putter helped the 2nd Place Finisher at the Melwood Prince George’s County Open shoot a final round of 6 under par on Sunday putting him at 17 under for the tournament and earning a paycheck for $52,800.00.

Week in and week out several players on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours rely on Rife’s RollGrooveâ?¢ Technology to earn their paycheck. In the past two years Rife Putters have accounted for well over $15 Million dollars in earnings on the Professional Tours and each week that number continues to grow. Over $15 Million in earnings and no endorsed players, Rife Putters has found that for the Tour Players, winning is everything.

About Rife Putters

All of Rife’s Putters, the 2 Bar line, GR6 Series, and new Island Series putters, are high-end fully CNC milled putters that offer the same patented RollGrooveâ?¢ Technology and patent pending LieAline System.

Rife Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGrooveâ?¢ faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
