World’s Most Romantic Spa Awaits Players In Annual Couples Tournament
COEUR D’ALENE, IDAHO, June 4, 2007 – Golfers competing in this year’s Coca-Cola Northwest Couples Classic can relax and rejuvenate between rounds and maybe rediscover a little romance during their visit to The Coeur d’Alene Golf & Spa Resort.
Besides two rounds of tournament play Aug. 13 and 14 at The Resort Course, couples can enjoying some privacy at the Spa Coeur d’Alene, which been named "The World’s Most Romantic Spa" in a special report for the Sherman’s Travel newsletter, also featured on msnbc.com.
Ideal for participating golfers is the "Just for Two" Couples Massage Suite at the Spa Coeur d’Alene. The Couples Massage Suite features a tranquil setting, complete with a fireplace and side-by- side waterbed massage tables that provide a wide, gorgeous view of Lake Coeur d’Alene. Secluded behind closed doors, the Couples Massage Suite is a superb setting to share a restful time in between tee times.

As always, golfers can take the distinctive wooden boat shuttles along the lake from The Resort to the golf course, enjoy unlimited time on the lakefront practice range, have a warm-up sports massage (available right on the range), ride in a custom golf cart and be assisted by a personal group forecaddie. All players in the Couples Classic must have an active and verifiable USGA handicap index. Amateurs without a handicap index will play at scratch. The maximum allowable will be 30 for men and 36 for women. Prizes are to include golf shop gift certificates and merchandise. Registration fee, which covers two rounds of golf, two nights premier lake tower accommodations (Aug. 12 and 13), awards banquet, gifts and more is $1,499 per couple. Registration without accommodations is $1,099 per couple.
