PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.—Sports fans from around the world who are interested in attending the 37th Ryder Cup at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky., Sept. 16-21, 2008, may register for tickets online at www.RyderCup.com beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Entries will be accepted through 11:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007. Registration is free.
"The Ryder Cup’s appeal worldwide continues to be one of the most desirable, must-see events in sports," said PGA of America President Brian Whitcomb. "The PGA of America is proud of the support that our past championships have received from the citizens of Louisville, and we anticipate that with their support Kentucky will be the coveted center of attention in sports in September 2008."
The PGA of America is once again anticipating the demand for Ryder Cup tickets to far exceed its ability to accommodate all requests. Therefore, a random drawing to determine ticket purchasers will be held in October 2007. Results of the random drawing will be announced by early November 2007.
The Ryder Cup gallery will be limited to 40,000 per day, and daily tickets will again be made available to allow more fans to experience the event. There are four ticket options:
â?¢ Daily Grounds Tickets are available for Tuesday ($40), Wednesday ($40), Thursday ($75), Friday ($90), Saturday ($90) and Sunday ($100). Each Daily Grounds Ticket will allow its holder access to the Ryder Cup grounds on the day specified. Each Daily Grounds Ticket holder will be provided with complimentary off-site parking and shuttle service to the event.
â?¢ The Season Ticket ($435) allows access to the grounds for all six days of the Ryder Cup. Each Season Ticket holder will be given a copy of the official Ryder Cup Journal, as well as complimentary off-site parking and shuttle service to the event.
â?¢The International Pavilion Ticket ($555) allows access to the grounds for all six days of the Ryder Cup, as well as admission to the International Pavilion, a sports-themed, climate-controlled facility located on the grounds of Valhalla Golf Club. It will feature an abundance of television monitors, and an enjoyable selection of food and beverage options, available at an additional charge. Each International Pavilion Ticket holder will be given a copy of the official Ryder Cup Journal, as well as complimentary off-site parking and shuttle service to the event.
â?¢ Daily Samuel Ryder Club Tickets are available for Thursday ($800), Friday ($1,600), Saturday ($1,600) and Sunday ($1,800). This new ticket offering will provide individuals with a premium on- site experience previously reserved only for corporate patrons. Each Daily Samuel Ryder Club Ticket will allow access to the Ryder Cup grounds on the day specified, as well as admission to the Samuel Ryder Club. This hospitality venue includes reserved seating, as well as complimentary breakfast and lunch buffets. Preferred off-site parking, shuttle service to the event and a copy of the official Ryder Cup Journal is also included with each Daily Samuel Ryder Club Ticket.
A maximum of two weekly tickets or four daily tickets per person may be purchased. Applicants may not purchase a combination of weekly and daily ticket types.
