VERONA, NY – Winners were announced and presented in 10 categories Monday night in the 14th Annual ING Media Awards. The presentations were part of the 17th Annual ING Spring Conference at Turning Stone Resort & Casino. Jeff Rude and Adam Schupak of Golfweek, and Gary Van Sickle of Sports Illustrated were all multiple winners in the competition.
The International Network Of Golf is a 17-year-old, non-profit, media-based networking organization whose mission is to enhance and promote communication and education in golf. The group conducts two meetings each year in the spring and fall, when media and industry leaders gather to discuss issues, launch and test new products, and develop relationships.
Rude won the Competitions Writing Category and received an Outstanding Achievers award in that category and in two other categories, Opinions and Profiles. Schupak won the Business Writing Category and an Outstanding Achiever in that category and in Equipment Writing. Van Sickle was first place in the Opinions Category and Outstanding Achiever in Competition and Profiles.
