World-class teaching professionals offer innovative golf instruction
Greensboro, Ga. (June 7, 2007) – Two instructors have joined the staff of The Reynolds Golf Academy at Reynolds Plantation, which under the direction of acclaimed "Top 100" teacher Charlie King, has launched its summer series designed to inspire golfers to "unleash their potential."
Karen Nicoletti, who competed on the Ladies European Tour takes her place as lead staff instructor at Reynolds. A child actress growing up in San Diego, Nicoletti is an LPGA Teaching and Club Professional. Greg Tuohy has been named Assistant teaching professional, and is a product of The Reynolds Plantation Certification Program. A graduate of Ferris State University in Michigan, Tuohy has specialized in junior instruction, as well as video analysis. A third instructor will be added to the growing roster of acclaimed teaching professionals at the Academy.
Continuing a legacy of excellence in golf, Reynolds Golf Academy offers a state-of-the-art golf learning center. Adjacent to the acclaimed Rees Jones-designed Oconee Course and the AAA Five Diamond Award-winning Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Golf Academy welcomes students to the 16-acre, 6,550 square foot campus that frames a flexible and creative academy adaptable to golfers at all levels.
The Reynolds Golf Academy is one of few schools that offer quantifiable achievement within half-day, one-day and three-day programs that can also include individual lessons, clinics, and corporate outings. Standout components include King’s Red Zone Challenge Short Game Three-Day School, based on his national 12-week challenge and classic instruction manual, "Golf’s Red Zone Challenge."
In addition to an eight-acre practice area that includes an expansive driving range, 18,000-square foot putting green, four practice bunkers, two practice chipping greens, two fully-enclosed hitting bays and classroom facilities, Reynolds Golf Academy offers advanced video technology for swing analysis. Golfers will also enjoy par-three holes that range from 60 yards to 220 yards. The nearby TaylorMade Performance Lab ups the ante with its state-of-the-art motion capture video technology and custom club-fitting at a facility that’s one of only six in the world golfers can experience.
Only an hour’s drive from Atlanta and Augusta, Reynolds Plantation has earned recognition as a "Best of the Best" golf community (2001 Robb Report) and has been cited as one of America’s 100 premier properties (2006-07 Links Magazine).
