ROANOKE, TEXAS – Fans of professional long drive can experience the excitement and energy of competition at the sport’s highest level, thanks to an upcoming series of broadcasts of recent RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship finals.
Beginning on June 23, ESPN Classic will present a series of nine programs devoted to recent RE/MAX world championships conducted at the Palms GC in Mesquite, Nevada.

All programs on ESPN Classic are slotted for a 7:30 a.m. EDT airing.
"We are delighted that ESPN has elected to establish this summer rotation on ESPN Classic," said Art Sellinger, chief executive officer of Roanoke-based Long Drivers of America, which stages the annual RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, the premier event in power golf.
"This series on ESPN Classic gives tremendous exposure to our sport’s marquee event and will likely attract new competitiors during the 2007 schedule of local and district qualifying rounds," Sellinger said. "In addition, the airings are a bonus for RE/MAX International and our other partners. We are deeply honored by ESPN’s decision to devote this much air time to professional long drive."
