The win, Thompson’s first on the Nationwide Tour, marks the fourth time this season that a Dunning Golf staff player has captured an event on a major North American professional tour, including Zach Johnson’s victories at the Masters and AT&T Classic.
Competing in brand’s Interface FX Pique Polo, the 28-year-old Thompson posted a stellar four-round total of 16-under 268 to best Bob Burns by two strokes. The victory moves the native of Panama City, FL, into 15th place on the Nationwide Tour money list.
