YES! Wins on the Duramed FUTURES Tour and Japan LPGA Tour; Plus A Record 40 Players Put The C-Groove Putter In Their Bags at the McDonald’s LPGA Championship
DENVER, June 11, 2007 – YES! Golf had an outstanding week on the Women’s Professional Tours. YES! won on the Duramed FUTURES Tour, Japan LPGA Tour and 40 players used a YES putter during the McDonald’s LPGA Championship.
"The C-groove putters have become very popular on the women’s tours over the past couple of years," said Francis Ricci, President & CEO YES! Golf. "Once one player finds success with the putter, word spreads fast and before you know it we are flooded with request for putters. We have on average over 50 players each week using our putters on the Duramed Futures Tour and 35 on the LPGA Tour. We are finding similar success on the men’s tour too. A couple players on the PGA Tour have recently switched and found success and now other players are requesting putters."
Two-time winner on the Duramed FUTURES Tour, Allison Fouch, used a YES! Callie to win the United States Steel Classic by three strokes over Audra Burks who uses a YES! Victoria II putter. On the Japan LPGA Tour, Zhang Na from China used a Pink Marilyn to win the "We Love Kobe" Suntory Open. Na is the first from her country to win on the Japan LPGA Tour. At the McDonald’s LPGA Championship, YES! hit a record high of 40 players using a C-groove putter, including three players in the top-ten.
On the PGA European Tour, eighteen players used the YES! putter at the BA-CA Open, including the runner-up who birdied four out of the five final holes to earn a spot in the playoff. Two other players using the YES! putter finished in the top-ten.
Yes! C-Groove putters continue to gain popularity on the professional tours and in the golf shops. YES! putters are currently used by over 200 tour professionals worldwide and have already won eleven times on tour this year. Yes! Golf’s success has also carried over to the golf shop as its market share continues to show steady growth. Yes!
