LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Professional Clubmakers’ Society (PCS), the international organization of golf equipment professionals, announces the inaugural Professional Club Fitting School, set to take place at the Persimmon Ridge based PCS Headquarters on July 10-12. An additional day devoted to wedge fitting has been added on Monday, July 9.
The Professional Club Fitting School builds upon the accomplishments of the Advanced Fitting School, by adding more hands-on opportunities, as well as more time in utilizing and testing the fitting tools available. Each student who attends this inaugural school will learn about the best fitting techniques, state-of-the art equipment, and selling and marketing methods for their individual businesses. The Professional Club Fitting School will teach how to get a fitting in the door, as well as what to do when the fitting walks in the door.
The Professional Club Fitting School will begin with instruction from guest speaker, Terry Koehler, president of Eidolon Golf. Koehler will lead a very special day, Monday, July 9, dedicated entirely to wedge fitting. Half the day will be spent on the practice range performing hands-on wedge fittings. In addition, Mike Tait from SMT Golf will be closing the school (with instruction topic to be announced). Both, Koehler and Tait are highly educated and experienced in the industry, as well as being committed to helping PCS as their members ‘sell the fit’.
SMT Golf will also be giving $417 dollars worth of certificates to all students attending the school.
PCS members and Professional Club Fitting School attendees will also be happy to note that during the school, Persimmon Ridge is hosting the Women’s Trans Amateur. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about club fitting, and watch some of the best women amateurs in the country play at the PCS home course.
Cost of the Professional Club Fitting School is $375. If attending the special Wedge Fitting Day the total cost is $500. Cost of the special Wedge Fitting day alone is $150. In addition, PCS has a special rate at the Courtyard Marriott for your stay.
