Scottsdale location joins Chandler, Ariz. store
ATLANTA (June 12, 2007) – Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, Inc. (GTPS), headquartered in Atlanta, will open a PGA TOUR Superstore in Scottsdale, Ariz. in October 2007. The new store will be located in the Pima Crossing Shopping Center at the northwest corner of Shea and the 101 Loop. The Scottsdale location marks PGA TOUR Superstore’s second store into the Arizona area, with the Valley’s first store opening in Chandler, Ariz. also in October 2007.
"Arizona makes a lot sense for us because of the large number of golf enthusiasts in the market," said Bill Hamlin, chief executive officer of GTPS. "We look forward to providing the same extraordinary inventory of products, expert assistance and state-of-the-art technology in the Scottsdale PGA TOUR Superstore that we do in all of our stores."
The brand operates as Martin’s PGA Tour Superstore (Martin’s) in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and as PGA TOUR Superstore in Atlanta, Dallas, Arizona and in all future markets. In addition to two Superstores in Myrtle Beach, four in the Atlanta area and two in the Dallas suburb of Plano, GTPS is poised for continued growth and is actively seeking locations in Houston, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Diego and the South Florida area.
All of the PGA TOUR Superstores provide golfers with an interactive, entertaining experience, as well as access to technology and services usually found in professional "Tour Vans" at tournament sites. PGA of America and other teaching pros are on staff to provide lessons, adjust a swing and guide club fitting. The new PGA TOUR Superstore will carry the largest selection of golf equipment, apparel, shoes, accessories and golf-themed home décor offered in the Phoenix area.
