‘Creating High Energy Web sites & PR Materials’ demo huge success at ING Spring Conference

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Captivating a 200-member International Network of Golf audience during its Spring Conference at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y., Dr. Jerry Teplitz presented a program on how to create high energy Web sites and PR materials.

Teplitz illustrated how behavioral kinesiology can be applied to determine the potential success or failure of Web site designs and advertising materials before taking them live.

Behavioral Kinesiology is a version of science that was developed in 1912 at Harvard University. Using a concept called muscle checking, Teplitz demonstrated how to effectively monitor and instantly determine the level of positive or negative energy of a variety of marketing materials and Web sites. "The average person is exposed to 237 advertising messages per day," Teplitz said. "In today’s world of over-communication, marketing has to be contagious. Web sites and ads give off a certain energy that affects the potential reader. That energy can be either positive or negative and, it has a bottom line impact for you to create as much positive energy as possible."

Teplitz demonstrated the energy emitted by such factors as color, copywriting and the "Z" pattern for reading. He explained the graphic design elements such as the positive energy of a smile as opposed to the negative energy attached to a frown. He also demonstrated how these factors have an immediate impact on a wide cross section of people.

"It’s been proven that behavioral kinesiology affects 95 percent of the world’s population," said Teplitz, "and it’s that large segment of the population that’s targeted by advertisers and Web site hosts. It’s critical to companies and publications that they make an immediate positive impression. You have a four-second or less window of opportunity for someone to read your PR piece or click off your Web site. This means becoming aware of the energy your product emits is incredibly important."

Dr. Teplitz consults with a variety of businesses from small retailers, magazine publishers, best-selling authors to Fortune 500 companies.
