Monterey, CA – The votes are in and Golf Illustrated Magazine’s 2007 Baggy Awards have been announced. Feel Golf’s Tour Tested Wedges AKA: "The Dart Throwers" of wedges – including the Company’s new 73° Wedge – have been selected to receive the Baggy Award in the Outstanding Achievement Product Category.
This is the third year for the prestigious Baggy Awards. The Golf Illustrated "Baggy Award" honor golf equipment manufacturers for designing products that integrate technology, performance and consumer appeal. Equipment was evaluated in four different categories – Reader’s Choice, GolfTest USA, Editor’s Choice and Outstanding Achievement.
Awards in the Outstanding Achievement Category were given to those golf products that, as judged by Golf Illustrated editors, are considered to be the "Best of the Best" from a technology, performance and/or playability standpoint.
All of the winners of the 2007 Baggy Awards will be featured in the September/October issue of Golf Illustrated Magazine.
Feel Golf’s Dart Thrower Wedges have received numerous accolades and awards over the past few years and the brand new 73° Satin Wedge has gained so much popularity since its introduction a few months ago that it’s been difficult to keep in stock. "We’ve been working as hard as we possibly can to keep the "73" in stock," said Lee Miller, CEO of Feel Golf. "Our USA retailers and International distributors are placing additional orders and we’re making them as fast as we possibly canâ?¦that’s how huge the demand for this wedge has become. Its simply unbelievable !"
"The 73° Wedge takes all the guess work out of executing bunker shots and especially the flop shot, a shot that has become a necessity for Tour players and until now has been a problem for the average player. With the 73° wedge you simply take your normal swing and let the club do the rest. The 73° wedge will allow you to launch the ball high and land it softly from any lie."
"This club can be controlled from 3 feet to 50 yards simply by adjusting the ball placement in your stance. The golfer doesn’t need to open the face or try to get "cute" with the shot by using half swings. You simply take a full swing with good rhythm, and the loft and design of the wedge will land it softly on the green. It’s that easy."
