Sweep hybrids shaft count on all Tours, win woods shaft count on Nationwide Tour, hybrids and woods shaft counts at 40th PGA Pro National Championship
POWAY, Calif. – Aldila followed up their repeat win at the U.S. Open Championship with sheer domination on all Tours this weekend. Almost every model of Aldila’s shafts was on display in a winner’s bag somewhere on Tour.
It was Aldila’s VS Protoâ?¢ Hybrid that proved instrumental in helping the winner of the Travelers Championship post his first PGA Tour victory. Their NV Hybrid was used by the Bank of America Championship winner to post his fourth victory of the season on the Champions Tour. It was Aldila’s NV and VS Proto shafts that were used by the Wegmans LPGA victor enabling her to remain number one player on the LPGA Tour.
Completing their Tour supremacy, the winner of the BMW International Open used Aldila’s NV ProtoPype to help secure a two-stroke victory at the Golfclub München Eichenried on the European Tour.
"Professional players rely on the unwavering consistency and exceptional feel of Aldila’s shafts to attain success on Tour, and we’re delighted by the number of players who trust the consistency and performance of our shafts," said Mike Rossi, Aldila’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Aldila won the hybrids shaft count on the LPGA, Champions, Nationwide, and PGA Tours for a clean sweep. They also won the woods shaft count on the Nationwide Tour. Rounding out the weekend, Aldila was the woods and hybrids shaft count winner at the 40th PGA Professional National Championship with a total of 137 Aldila hybrid shafts in play. Their closest graphite competitor only had 50 shafts.
Aldila is not only a hit on all the Tours, but their shafts are favored by consumers as well. According to the Darrell Survey U.S. National Consumer Survey, Aldila was the leading graphite shaft manufacturer for new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for 2006.
"It’s nice to know that whether it’s a PGA Tour pro, a club champion or a devoted weekend player, Aldila remains the shaft of choice," said Rossi.
